 Robyn Laurenson; Ewe to You Yarns;

 I started spinning only after retiring to the Mid North Coast. I have always had an interest to learn but never the time.

The art of spinning is centuries old. I find it a wonderfully relaxing experience. The selecting of colours and the many different types of fibre is amazing,

       Sheep, Alpaca, Linen, Cotton, Bamboo & Silk.

To some you may not have heard of such as,

       Mint, Rose, Milk, Pineapple, Soybean and Corn

I enjoy using the Blending Board to mix different fibres and colours to make original designs for my yarns

When the fibre comes off the board it is called a rolag.

I take inspiration from the natural landscape for many of my designs… you will see each of my hanks is named for that inspiration.

Being a retired florist, I love colour and the variations found in nature & imperfections are beautiful for being unique.

If you would like to have some of my work, please leave your details with the member on duty and I will call you to discuss what you would like spun or blended.

I have left some samples of the different types of fibres, both spun and natural.

Please feel free to pick them up and enjoy the feel.
