Tina Frost Clayton
Education: Tina Frost Clayton is a visual artist with a Master of Arts Therapy degree from Western Sydney University and a Diploma in Teaching from Mitchell College of Advanced Education, Bathurst.
Residency: Artist/Teacher in Residence at Riversdale and lived and worked in Arthur Boyd’s Studio for three wonderful weeks; the award was courtesy of the Bundanon Trust.
Collections: Tina’s drawing, “An Act of Kindness”, is part of the Collection of The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame in Longreach, Queensland.
It was selected to honour our Australian Country women.
A recent artwork ‘East of the moon, west of the sun’, depicting Port Stephens headlands, hangs in The Hon Kate Washington MP’s office at Raymond Terrace.
Many of Tina’s artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia, the UK,
USA, Sweden and France.
Working in the Arts: Operation Art is an initiative of the NSW Department of Education and Westmead Children’s Hospital. Tina wrote many of the art education programs and CDs for this state-wide program. She taught art to students and adults at Regional NSW Galleries including, Maitland, Orange, Wollongong and Penrith. Tina also worked with cancer patients in the Blue Mountains as an Art Therapist.
Art Practice: Tina draws inspiration from her environment and often creates work from her imagination. She creates art images in a variety of mediums, and styles, depending on her interest at the time.
Making art is a lifelong passion that brings its frustration as well as joy.
TAG: Tina has been an active member of TAG about 5 years. You might see her wandering around with her camera taking photos of local TAG Events to share in our online communities.
