Brief description of workshop:

You will learn new skills and techniques to make scarves from a wonderful array of fibres, silks and embellishments.

You will be provided with all the materials and be given individual attention and support throughout the day.

Each participant will go home with a colourful mosaic felted scarf.

Requirements: Could participants please bring:

  • Old towels, old pantyhose, plastic bags, bowl/bucket, cake soap, scissors, 2 metre length x 40 cm wide bubble wrap (in one piece), netting (old curtain), half pool noodle and apron
  • Their own lunch and water bottle.

Supplied:

  • All fibre, all silk fabric and embellishments.

Students to tell workshop co-ordinator well before workshop date what colour they prefer.

Be Prepared:

*The workshop involves a lot of standing, so students to wear sensible shoes.

*The workshop is a long day with lots of rolling (like rolling out masses of pastry), so students to bring medication if they think they may need it.
